I've just been awfully sidetracked... I've still been learning accordion though! It's been great, accordion is really fun. That chart helped me a lot to get started so I would really advise that you save it or print it out or something. it's really useful. But, once you feel like you can do it on your own, don't look at the chart unless you are entirely confused, this will help to make you remember a lot better.

I can play a number of songs on the accordion now, it's pretty cool... The accordion is rather loud though but the good thing about it is that it's portable! So, if you find somebody is getting annoyed, you can just walk down the street(or out in your yard where nobody can hear) and start playing! I won't pretend that the acoordion is the perfect instrument, it's not. But it is a very fun and enjoyable instrument. If you ever find that somebody needs some cheering up, I'd say the accordion would be just the thing!

One more great thing about the accordion: Kids LOVE the accordion! Seriously, little kids really love it, the accordion is really interesting looking and sounding to them. Just seeing the bellows go back and forth and make that sound that makes you want to have fun... It's great :). I have a 2 year old niece and, she always wants to try to play my accordion(I got a new one btw), even though she can't hold it up at all, she wants to :). someday I imagine she'll be old enough though, and I'll show her how if I get the chance! It's really fun :).

That's all for now folks! Next post I'll give you a description of my *new* accordion, much nicer than my old one!

seeya!

Benjamin

Beginner
Hi! I'm a beginner accordion player. The Accordion I have right now isn't much but it works for practice and such!
I started this page because, I noticed that accordion lessons are just not online out there! What I've been looking for is a website that will give me the info I need to play the accordion. Some sites tell you: "Buy a book". Well, that kinda obvious, why didn't I think of that... oh, I did didn't I? I don't mean to "diss" on those guys but that's just not the info I'm looking for!

So, I kept looking and I found finally a website which showed me the chords on the button panel! Now That Was exactly what I was looking for! So, This is what it looks like:
